Karen L. Ward nee Bermingham, age 64, of Hammond, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013. Cherished wife of David M. Ward. Loving mother Dawn Marie (fiancé Paul Navarro) Bridgmon, Tina Marie (Joseph) Fleming, and the late David Wcislak, JR. Beloved sister Joyce (Michael) Ewing, Lori McKinney, Timothy (Christine) McKinney, the late Bobby (Karen) McKinney, the late Jimmy (Sharon) Bermingham, the late Kenny (Linda) Bermingham, the late Wally Bermingham, the late Billy Bermingham, the late Kathy McKinney, the late Alice (late Michael) Kimble, and the late Sharon (late Alvin) Kimbrell. Proud grandmother of Joseph Fleming, Blue Fleming, Chrystal Wcislak, Jason Gumuluski, Johnny Gumuluski, and Steven Bridgmon, JR. Dearest great-grandmother of Lily Gumuluski and Johnny Gumuluski, III. Devoted daughter of the late Walter G. Bermingham. Fond aunt many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her dearest friend Anna and by her special canine friend Sassy "Baby". Karen loved shopping at any store with dollar in front of it and especially loved and cared for her family. Her family was her life. She was loved by many and will be missed by more. Funeral Service on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 10:30 AM at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond with Rev. C. James Facklam, Pastor officiating. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond.
