Karen S. Murzyn(Lakatosh) of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Whiting, IN., passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Danielle Harper; stepchildren: Brandy (Joe) Gray and Dawn Dieterman; grandchildren: Heather Harper (A.J. Geathers), David Harper, Alexander Harper, Jared Dieterman, Justin Dieterman, Amber Dieterman and Autum Dieterman; great granddaughter, Madison Harper.  She was preceded in passing by her parents; and her husband, Thomas Murzyn.

A Funeral Gathering will take place on Monday, July 2025 at 12:00 PM at LaHayne Funeral Home located at 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, IN 46324 Burial will follow to Elmwood Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 AM until the time of reflection at Noon.

Karen retired from Clark County, Las Vegas as a Nurse.  She was an avid reader and shopper.  Karen loved going any and everywhere, she was a World Traveler. She loved spending her time with friends and family and most importantly, her dog Bogart.
