June Evans, age 50, of Hammond, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 17, 2016. Loving Mother of Christopher Evans, Anthony Balsam, Daniel Tucker, and Kearstin Tucker. Cherished wife of Daniel Evans, SR. Beloved Daughter Mary M. Evans nee Cortez. Proud Grandmother of Liam Balsam. Devoted Sister of Bryan (Raeanna Reyes) Evans, Candida Evans, Nicole Mrdalj, and Theresa Evans. Dearest Godmother of Richard Evans, Ryan Evans, and Frankie Villalobos. Fond Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her Father Richard C. Evans, Grandma Rich and Grandpa Everette. June enjoyed cooking, cleaning, arts and crafts, and bicycling. She loved her many trips to Key West, Florida and well as singing along to her songs on the radio. June was a very caring and excepting woman. She was proud to not only being a mom but also a grandma. June was loved by many and will be missed by more. Friends are invited to celebrate June's life with her family on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Funeral Service at 5:00 PM with Bro. Roy Moffitt officiating at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME , 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Family of June Evans.
