Judy A. Lawrence nee Ament, age 66, of Hammond, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, February 10, 2017. Beloved wife for 49 years to Joseph A. Lawrence, SR. Loving mother of Penny Lawrence, Vincent Lawrence, and Joseph (Danielle) Lawrence, JR. Devoted sister of Les (Diane) Griggs, Ron (Mari) Griggs, Don (Ann Marie) Dulla, Edward (Joyce) Dawkins, Patricia Dawkins-Collins, and Janice (John) Allen. Proud grandmother of Brianna (Jonathan) Eisenhardt, Vincent Lawrence, Vanessa Lawrence, Joshua Lawrence, Alyssa Lawrence, Kayla Lawrence, Alexis Fant, and Cheyanne Fant. Cherished great-grandmother of Laken, Brett, and Natalie. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Reva Ament and her siblings Lillian (late Rudy) Pallanti, Bernice Dawkins-Owen, and Robert Ament, and her special parents Edward and Virginia Dawkins Judy was a homemaker who loved her family intensely. She was always gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, or doing crafts. Judy's home always smelled of cooking and baking. She was a Coach with the Irving Little Softball League. Judy loved her many trips with her sisters to Vegas and the trips to Wisconsin with Joe. She will be missed by her cat Patches and her dogs Brodie, Koko, Dakota, and Butchie. Judy would only get mad if you drank her last Pepsi. She was loved by many and will be missed by more.
