Obituary

Judith "Judy" A. Noel, age 74, of Munster, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 12, 2016. Devoted sister of William (Kathy) Noel, II. Proud aunt of Daphne (John) Jaffe and Candace (Brian) Golec. Dearest great-aunt of Breanna Jaffe, Johnny Jaffe, and Brian Golec. Fond niece of numerous aunts and uncles. Beloved cousin to many. Preceded in death by her parents William H. Noel and Anita S. Noel nee Scholz. Judy was born on October 20, 1941 in Neillsville, Wisconsin but spent most of her life in the Northwest Indiana area. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and First United Lutheran Church in Hammond and graduated from Hammond High in 1962. She retired after many years in the Activity Dept. with Munster Med Inn. Judy was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta and is believed to be one of the first in the Nation to undergo the surgical procedure of inserting metal rods in bones. She will be remembered for her love of animals, creativeness, and her always cheerful disposition. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 3 PM until 8 PM at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME , 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN.Lying in State, Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 10 AM until time of Service at 11 AM at First United Lutheran Church, 6705 Hohman Ave., Hammond, IN with Dr. Bassam Abdallah, Pastor officiating Interment Private.
