Joseph Anthony Grubesic, age 62, of Hammond, IN, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026.

Joe is survived by his daughter, Kaitlin (Brandon) Barehead; siblings: Marianne (John) Schriver, Carolyn (Brian) Brogdon and Donna Pattri; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in passing by his parents: Joseph and Betty Grubesic; and his brother, David Grubesic.

Joe was a huge Chicago sports fan. Die-hard Chicago White Sox fan, loved the Bears and the Blackhawks.  He also loved to fish, and anyone who knew him knows that he always kept the best lawn on the block. Joe is also a tissue donor through the Gift of Hope. Through this gift, he will be able to make life-changing things happen for so many people.
