John Markulj, age 84, US Coast Guard Veteran of World War II, of Chicago, passed away Monday, December 18, 2012. Cherished Son of the late Petar D Markulj and the late Rose L. Markulj nee Karaula. Beloved Brother of the late Anne (late Tony) Gleiznis, the late Milivoj (late Lottie) Markulj, and the late Steffie (late John) Evak. Loving Uncle of April Markul, David Evak, Phyllis (Bill) Malecki, Donna (Frank) Geiselman, John Evak, Susan (Pat) Higgins, and Tony Gleiznis. John was a huge Cubs fan. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and biking for miles.
