Jerald R. Mangold, age 29, of Merrillville, passed away suddenly January 1, 2011. He was the beloved son of Brian and Jill Mangold Loving Brother of John (Shannon) Mangold and Jason (Tammy) Mangold Fond Uncle and Godfather of 1 Niece, Taylor and 2 Nephews, Jacob and Jonah Proud Grandson of Grenadene Harder Dearest Nephew of 1 Aunt, Janna (Ron) Crague and 2 Uncles, John (Rhonda) Harder and Jeff (Pam) Harder Cherished Cousin and friend to an unbelievable many. Jerald was a 1999 graduate of Lake Central High School and a 2004 graduate of Purdue Calumet with a degree in Accountancy. He was a lifelong Cubs and Bears fan. Jerald worked in the Accounts Payable Dept. at Arcelor Mittal Steel Co., Burns Harbor. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 7, 2011 at 9:30 AM from Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7227 Hohman Ave., Hammond with Pastor Karl Davies officiating. Burial will follow at Blachly Cemetery, Valparaiso. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, January 6, 2011 from 2 PM until 8PM at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond and Friday, January 7 at the Church from 9 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Cubs Care or Fallen Heroes. He will be missed and while short, his life will be celebrated.
