Jeffery A. Rigot, age 56 of Hammond, Indiana passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Munster Med Inn.

Jeffery is survived by his children: Ashley (Robert) Schindley, James (Brittany) Rigot, David (Trista) Rigot, Melanie (Eddie Leon) Rigot and Jordan Rigot; Fiancé, Debbie J. Tiller; Step-children: Wayne (Liz) Hughes and Rebecca Hughes; grandchildren: Andrew Hughes, Amaya Hughes, Anthony Hughes and Ava Hughes; former spouse, Denise Ross.

Jeffery graduated from Griffith High School.  He later joined the U.S. Army and served in the Gulf War.  Jeffery worked for and retired from Teamster Local 142. He was a long-time member of AMVETS Post 43 in Burnham, IL.  Jeffery's favorite pastime was fishing, and he would go fishing in a puddle if he thought he might catch something.  He enjoyed NASCAR, camping, barbequing, and was a Horror Film fanatic.  As an avid sports fan he loved his Chicago Bears and the Chicago White Sox.  Jeffery was a nature lover outdoors and an animal lover indoors.

A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, April 17, 2021 2:00 P.M. at LaHayne Funeral Home 6955 Southeastern Ave. Hammond, IN 46324 with Pastor Robert Schindley officiating.  Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until time of Funeral Service.
