James "Jim" A. Eckles, age 64, US Naval Veteran of the Viet Nam War, passed away suddenly Wednesday, July 12, 2017. Beloved son of Necia I. Wilson nee Klein and the late James L. Eckles. Loving brother of Steve (Cindy) Eckles and Carol (Fiancé Wayne Secor) Hough-Fike. Fond uncle of Matthew Eckles, Angela (Jeff) Gang, Robert Rudnicki, and great-uncle of Ariana Moats. Jim was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan and was very happy to finally see them win the World Series. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 10 AM until time of Service at 12 Noon with Pastor Scott Ferry officiating at LaHayne Funeral Home , 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, Indiana.
