Irene E. Kinnane, age 92, of Munster, IN passed away Saturday, May 23, 2009 at her home. She is survived by 2 sons, Dr. Dennis Kinnane of Long Beach, CA and Thomas Kinnane of Honolulu, HI; 1 daughter, Linda Kinnane of Munster, IN; 1 brother-in-law, Theodore A. Sinal of Hobart, IN; 1 sister-in-law, Virginia Kinnane of Culver, IN; numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. She was Preceded in death by her husband, George V. Kinnane, in 1995, a brother, Arthur Smith, and sister, Violet Ada Jacobson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 11 AM from LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN with Rev. Roy Moffit officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, May 29, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of the Calumet Area, 600 Superior Ave., Munster, IN 46321. Irene was a lifetime resident of this area and a former member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hammond, IN. She worked for over 20 years at the Angelyn Shop in Lansing, IL.
