Harold "Popeye" V. Godbolt, age 77, of Hammond, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013. Beloved Husband for 57 years to Kathleen "Kathy" Godbolt nee Mecyssine. Loving Father of Dwayne (late Cheryl) Godbolt of Hammond, IN, Douglas (Tami) Godbolt of Lowell, IN, and Doyle (Dawn) Godbolt of Hammond, IN. Cherished Brother of Fred (late Jean) Godbolt of Jacksonville, FL and late Lucille (Junior) Pennington of Callahan, FL. Proud Grandfather of David (Amy) Godbolt, Brittney (Robbie) Cruse, Kalyne, Adam, Michael, and Melissa Godbolt. Dearest Great-Grandfather of Carly, Callie, Chase, and Olivia. Fond Uncle of many Nieces and Nephews and devoted to his 4 favorite Sister-in-laws Carol, Evelyn (Butch), Esther (Bob), and Rita. Harold was very active with State St. Baptist Church for over 50 years and continued being active when the church merged with Cornerstone Baptist Church. He was a huge St. Louis Cardinal's fan, an outstanding fast pitch softball pitcher, and an avid fisherman.
