Glenola A. Kunnemann, age 91, of Hammond, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 13, 2015. Cherished sister of Alden (Beth) Kunnemann, Arlo (Elva) Kunnemann, and Dorothy (Arnold) Jones. Loving aunt of Debra (Scott) Sims, Cindy (Jim) Taylor, Elaine (Dan) Frickey, Mitzi McGlynchey, Shirley Husman, Frank Kunnemann, Mark (Randi) Kunnemann, Douglas (Becki) Kunnemann, and Carol Jones. Beloved great-aunt 19. Proud great-great-aunt of 8. Dearest sister-in-law of Marjorie Kunnemann Preceded in death by her parents Walter Kunnemann and Anna Kunnemann nee Hake, and her brothers Orville Kunnemann and Melvin Kunnemann, and and her nephew Darrel Jones, and her great-nieces Jenny Sims, Karin Kunnemann. Glenola served as the Recording Secretary at St. John Lutheran Church, was the Treasurer of the Ladies Aid, was the Treasurer of the AAL Branch 716, and sang in the choir. After it closed, she became a member of the First United Lutheran Church. She was also an avid bowler for over 45 years. Glenola was loved by many and will be missed by more. Friends are invited to celebrate Glenola's life with the family on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 10 AM until time of Service at 12 Noon at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN with Dr. Bassam Abdallah, Pastor officiating.
