Gertrude "Trudy" A. Magliocca nee Klisurich, age 78, of Hammond, IN, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, May 4, 2018.

Very loving wife and friend for 60 years to Joseph J. Magliocca. Beloved mother of Frank J. (Jim Emslander) Magliocca, Theresa (Jake Jaceczko) Magliocca, and Paula Hammersley. Devoted sister of George J. (Kristin S.) Klisurich Jr and Debbie Klisurich. Proud grandmother of William (Brooke) Grabowski, Aaron (Blair) Renel, and Eve Hammersley. Dearest great-grandmother of Breanna and Bethany Grabowski, and Steven, Sophia, and Michael Renel. Fond aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Loyal friend to many. Preceded in death by her parents George J. (Cecilia) Klisurich, Sr and Alice C. (Bud) Hepp, and her son-in-law Steve Hammersley. Trudy graduated from Bishop Noll. Besides being a housewife and mother, Trudy worked as a cafeteria worker and companion care and was a longtime auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 16. She was famous for her nut rolls and gnocchi. Trudy was loved by many and will be missed by more.

Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 3 PM until 8 PM with a 6:00 PM Rosary Service at LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, In. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 9:15 AM from LaHayne Funeral Home to All Saints Catholic Church, 570 Sibley St., Hammond, IN for a 10 AM Mass with Rev. Eduardo Malagon, Pastor officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Soup Kitchen in Hammond, IN or St. Joseph's Indian School.
