George Morley Cook, age 79, went to meet Jesus on October 20, 2015, surrounded by his loving family at Rush Hospital in Chicago. He was born in Ottawa, Canada on February 7, 1936. George is survived by his wife Suzanne Cook nee Wilhelm of 39 years, daughters Cindy (Allen) Coup of Mt. Carmel, TN, Tracey (Richard) Gagnon of Hamilton, ON, Pam (Greg) Simms of Valparaiso, IN, Jane (Jay) Minnick of Liberty, MO, and Susan (Scot) Bryce of Munster, IN., grandchildren Jocelyne (Trevor) Gagnon, Tim (Amanda) Coup, Jeremy Gagnon, Melanie (Ben) Belsheim, Katie (Ben) Purnell, Alexandra (Jason) McCracken, Greg Simms JR, Stephen Simms, Clayton Minnick, Addison Bryce, Mikayla Minnick, and Erin Bryce, great-grandchildren Wyatt and Finnley Belsheim, brother Arthur (Jessie) Cook of Gatineau, QC.. George was predeceased by his son Randall Cook, his daughter Cynthia Jill Michel, his parents Gordon and Rebecca Cook, and his brother William (late Marjorie) Cook.. George retired from TWA/American Airlines after 35 years. He was active with Ridge United Methodist Church in Munster, IN. He enjoyed a good game of dart ball. George worked part time with his wife Suzanne at Theater at the Center and also volunteered at Hartsfield Village. George and Suzanne also did missionary work in Haiti and Jamaica for 16 years. George was a kind, loving, generous friend, husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him. Friends are invited to celebrate George's life with his family on Friday, October 23, 2015, from 9:30 AM until the time of his Memorial Service at 11 AM at Ridge United Methodist Church, 8607 Columbia Ave., Munster, IN.
