Frederick Fabian, age 84, of Hammond, IN, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024.

Fred is survived by his dear friends and caretakers: Kathy Gaskey and Carol Cataldi; nieces: Margene Fabian and Janet Fabian; and the Marvel Family. He was preceded in passing by his parents: Gustave and Margaret Fabian; companion, Shirley Fabian, and his brother.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 11:30 AM at LaHayne Funeral Home located at 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond with Major Steve Koehler officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday August 19, 2024, from 10:00AM until the time of service at 11:30.

Private Burial will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN.

Fred retired from the Railroad.  He was an excellent baker and the enjoyed going to all of the restaurants in the region to eat.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
