Frank "Bubba' E. Koonce, Jr., age 20, of Hammond, IN. passed away suddenly on Monday, May 9, 2022, at home.

Frank is survived by his parents: Frank E. Koonce, Sr and Lynn M. Koonce (nee Climer); brother, Dylan T. Koonce; sister, Kayla M. Koonce; grandparents: Tom and Brenda Climer and Cheryl Koonce; fiancé, Naiya Robinson-Stewart; aunt, Misty Stotlar (Nicholas Burgess); uncle, Everett (Ann) Koonce, Jr.; many great aunts, great uncles and cousins; his dogs: Harley and Quinn; many friends, teammates and teachers. Frank was preceded in passing by his grandfather, Everett Koonce Sr., and his best friend, Jonathan Rumsey.

Bubba graduated from Clark High School in Hammond where he played Football for the Pioneers.  He enjoyed watching Wrestling and on Sundays, you would find him watching Football with his dad.  He enjoyed teasing his little brother and sister.  Bubba had an adorable lopsided smile and puppy dog eyes, and he would use to his advantage to get out of trouble with mom.  He loved hanging out with his friends on the porch, listening to music and playing video games.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022, at LaHayne Funeral Home located at 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, IN 46324 from 3:00 PM-7:00 PM . At 6:30 PM there will be sharing of memories by family and friends and concluding prayer by Pastor Gil Palmer of First Baptist Church of Lockport.  At Bubba's request, please do not wear black, and celebrate him by smiling through your tears.
