Frances V. Czuba nee Marcinkowski, age 94, of Hammond and formally of South Chicago, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014.
Cherished daughter of the late John and the late Victoria Marcinkowski nee Majewski. Beloved wife for 54 years of the late Henry Czuba. Loving mother of Mark Czuba, Victoria (Curt) Cummings and the late Jeffrey Czuba. Devoted grandmother of Dawn Czuba, Mark Czuba II, Ashley (Sam) Householder, and Nicole Cummings. Proud great-grandmother of Chelsea Czuba, and Brianna Czuba. Special nieces Gail (Joe) Spytek and Sue (Rodney) Williams. She also leaves behind many other nieces and nephews. Fond sister in-law of Leonard (Judy) Czuba and Dorothy Babinec, and former mother in-law of Beth Hoffman.
Frances was a past member of the United Choirs and a former organ student at the PNCC of Chicago, IL under Professor L. Cieszykowski. She was also a past member for 10 years of the Farrar Choral Club. A member of both the Millennium and Chopin Choir. She served for 49 years as an organist and director in the Polish National Catholilc Church (PNCC): Holy Ghost, St. Hedwig, Holy Family , St. Michael the Archangel, and Divine Providence. She was a former Music Instructor, associate teacher, and past organ/piano student at the Dorothy Greig Music Studio, Hammond, IN. Former Vice President and National Director of the Polish American Congress Indiana division. She was a member of St. Michael's PNCC, East Chicago, IN and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament Ladies Society. Frances was a former employee of A.B. Dick Co., Chicago, IL and A.O. Smith Co., South Chicago, IL.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 11 AM at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME , 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN with Reverend John P. Kowalczyk, Jr., Pastor officiating. Interment Saint Michaels Polish National Cemetery, Hammond, IN.
