Chivington nee Knitter, age73, of Hammond, passed peacefully at home after a long illness surrounded by her daughters Saturday, December 24 2011 Beloved daughter of the late Erick and the late Freida (nee Krueger) Knitter Cherished wife for 48 years to the late Glenn Chivington Loving mother of Carol (fiancé Milt Warren) Burks of Radcliff, Kentucky, Cheryl (Steve) Dudley of Indianapolis, Indiana, Cathy (Gary) Kun of Liberty Township, Indiana Cherished sister of Ruth (Dale) Alexander of Arizona and the late Alfred Knitter Proud grandmother of Bryan, Casey (fiancé Michael White), and Chuck Burks; and Jacqueline and Kristin Dudley; and Shaun (Randi), Justin (Maria Martinez), Jared (Meagan) Kun, and the late Heather Kun Dearest great-grandmother of Liam Kun, twin girls Payton and Ryann Kun, and twin boys Sam and Will Kun Fond Aunt of many nieces and nephews Her faithful dog Sadie Evelyn enjoyed her many visits to the Ameristar Casino, crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family.
