Evelyn "Evy" D. Pratt nee Schultz, age 89, of Hammond, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012. Devoted wife of the late Lester H. Pratt. Loving mother of James L. Pratt and Cathy L. Pratt. Cherished by her Caregiver Maggie (John) Mathis and their children John, Jr and Delilah. Dearest daughter of the late Gustav and late Caroline nee Meincke. Beloved sister of the late Elmer (late Jean) Schultz. Proud aunt and cousin to the Richards, Leverenz, and Wilkening families. Dearest friend to her cats Columbus and Calvin. Evy loved cooking and baking for her family and friends. She belonged to many Pinochle clubs and worked for NIPSCO during WWII and some years after. Friends are invited to meet with the Family on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 4 PM until 8 PM at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond. Lying in State on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 10:30 am until time of Service at 11 am at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was a lifetime member, 8601 Harrison Ave., Munster.
