Edelmira Lozano, aged 85, entered eternal rest on November 20, 2025.

Edelmira is survived by her daughter, Silvia (Luis) Rubalcaba (nee Lozano); her two sons: Ed (Toni) Lozano, and Ramon Jr. (Rosie) Lozano; her grandchildren: Angel (Bob Lee) Lozano, Eric (Erica) Gutierrez, Ramon III (Christi) Lozano, Danielle Rubalcaba, Rubi Rubalcaba; along with her great-grandchildren: Jolene Lozano, Mila Lee, and Christopher Lozano; and many nieces and nephews. Edelmira is preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Lozano Sr.; her daughter, Maria Lozano; and her siblings.

Edelmira was born in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and she was a lifelong resident of Hammond, Indiana. She was a mother of four children and dedicated her life to profound motherhood. She enjoyed playing bingo, shopping with her daughters, and listening to music. Her hobbies included cooking up her latest recipes and sewing clothes to expand her creative capabilities. She was known for her charismatic personality, her endearing love, and sense of gratitude to everyone she encountered throughout her life. She will be remembered for her generosity, her devotion to motherhood, and her love for family.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM on December 2, 2025, at LaHayne Funeral Home. Please join us in remembering and celebrating Edelmira's life.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM at La Hayne Funeral Home 6955 Southeastern Ave. Hammond, IN 46324, with Fr. Jeffrey Burton of St. John Bosco officiating. Burial will follow to Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond.
