Dorothy M. McConathy nee Drange, age 86, of Munster, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Howard E. McConathy. Loving mother of Tom (Linda) McConathy, Dave (Fran) McConathy, and Patti (Jeff) DeWier. Proud grandmother of Shaun (Tammy) and Kevin (Brooke) McConathy, and Leslie (Tommy) Sellers, Patrick and Matthew McConathy, and Chris and Megan DeWier, and Jennifer (DJ) McDaniel. Dearest great-grandmother Ava McConathy and Hailey Sellers. Cherished friend to Ozzie, her four legged pal. Dorothy had a great way of life and she cherished everyday she lived and touched every person she made contact with she loved weekly bingo, visits from Hailey and Ozzie, boxed wine, and casino trips. Dorothy retired as an RN from St. James Hospital after 30 years of service. She's left behind a positive outlook to living each day to the fullest. Her faith was apparent in her daily living and her motto each day was "What's meant to be will be". Services and interment will be private. Service was entrusted to LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anthony Hospice.
