Obituary

Dorothy M. Fischer nee Eaton, age 83, of Crown Point and formerly of Hammond, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 19, 2015.

Beloved wife for 37 years to Robert "Bob" L, Fischer. Loving mother of Martin (late Patricia) Werth. Devoted sister of Charles (late Betty) Eaton and Beverley (late Bill) Brunner. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Charles and Dorothy Eaton nee Johnson, her first husband Forest Dean Werth, her brother Albert Eaton, and her sister Mable Adele Eaton.

Dorothy graduated from Hammond Tech High School in 1950, and also the Hammond Beauty Academy and the American Academy of Art. Her hobbies included water color painting, sculpturing, bird carving, crocheting, miniatures, and playing the piano and organ. Dorothy was loved by many and will be missed by more.

Funeral Services Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 12 Noon at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME , 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN with her sister Beverley Brunner officiating. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Family and friends are invited to meet with the family at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 10 AM until time of Service at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Calumet or Hospice of the Calumet Area.
