Dorothy M. Dycus, age 99, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017. Born to the late Ray and Estella Rupert in East Chicago, Indiana on November 22, 1918. In her younger years, Dorothy worked for Citizens Federal Savings and Loan in Hammond for five years. Dorothy enjoyed traveling with her husband, cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by two daughters: Dale (Larry) Lane, Jane (Richard) Foster; grandchildren: Brian (Michelle) Lane, Andrew (Koren) Lane, Richard Lane; greatgrandchildren: Austin, Kadyn, Thomas, Kathryn, Peyton; sister-in-law, Catherine Dycus. Preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, James T. Dycus; parents and one brother, Ray O. Rupert Jr. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, December 11, 2017 12:00 Noon at LaHayne Funeral Home (6955 southeastern Ave. Hammond, IN). Interment Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
