Donald "Casey" P. Beyer, age 81, of Hammond, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, September 14, 2014.

Preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Jeannie nee Shadley. Devoted father of Eileen (John) Parkerson, Marie (late Kevin) Dugan, and Kimberly (Bryon) Butala. Proud grandfather of Eric (Nicole) Parkerson, Andrew (Bianca) Parkerson, Paul (Lisa) Dugan, Matthew Dugan, Kristina (Derrick) Woerpel, Thomas (Teresa) Williamson, Brandon (Calynn) Williamson, and Krystal Butala,

Kevin Butala. Loving great-grandpa of 16. Cherished brother of late Irvin Beyer, late Ray Beyer, and late Jerry Beyer. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Donald worked at Inland steel No 3 Coal strip East and was a part-time barber while working at Inland and when he retired, he became a full time barber. He was affiliated with Olph and the Knights of Columbus Chapter 1700 of East Chicago. He loved spending holiday and special time with his family. He was very compassionate, had a large heart, and always wore a big smile.
