Diane L. Galvin nee Baker, age 75, of Hammond, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015. Beloved wife for 37 years to the late David A. Galvin. Loving godmother of David Sivak. Cherished aunt of Melissa (Jay) Walston, Pamela (Thomas) Lewis, Russell (Shannon) Baker, and William (Rachel) Baker. Fond great-aunt of many others. Diane was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Esther Baker nee Wheeler and her brother James (late Carolyn) Baker. Diane was an Elementary School Teacher in Hammond. She retired from Harding School with 34 years of service. She also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary Post 369 of East Chicago. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 9 AM until time of Service at 12 Noon with Reverend Alex Stone, Pastor officiating and the Desiderate will be read by Lauren Sivak at 11:30 AM at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond.
