Debra L. Schreurs, age 70, of Hammond, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 24, 2025.

Debra was born at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, Illinois. She later married Walter "Wally" Schreurs, with whom she shared just shy of 25 years of marriage before his passing.

She is survived by her beloved children, Sherry Young and Kenneth (Jennifer) Young; her cherished grandchildren, Angel, Jazmine, Tory, Tony, Lincoln and Maverick; and her adored great-grandchildren, DJ and Aurora. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Dawn Gregory; her husband, Walter "Wally" Schreurs; and her brother, Tom Gregory.

Debra dedicated many years to caring for others as a Healthcare Aide, working in both the public and private sectors. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought light and laughter into her life. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
