David A. Galvin, age 72, US Army Veteran, of Hammond, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Beloved Husband for 37 years to Diane Galvin nee Baker. Loving Nephew, Uncle, and Cousin to many in Indiana, Illinois, California, and Hawaii. Loyal Friend to his cat Bandit. David was a member of the American Legion Allied Post 369 in East Chicago. He was retired from Inland Steel after 33 years. He was a die-hard Cubs fan and enjoyed gardening and carpentry. David was well known for his Christmas cookie platters. Service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 10 AM at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 7113 Columbia Ave., Hammond with Rev. Richard Orlinski, Pastor, officiating.
