Dana Kornas, age 46, of East Chicago, IN, passed away on Wednesday, April 9,2025.

Dana is survived by her parents: Tim and Isabel "Buffy" Kornas; brother, Joseph Kornas; aunts and uncles: Larry (Lupe) Kornas, Steve Kornas, Renette (Javier) Serna, Daniel (Becky) Becerra, Jeanette (Chuck) Cobb, Vincent (Taffy) Becerra, MaryAnn (Greg) Richards; first cousins: Leticia, Jeremy, JJ, AJ, Maren, Franky, Jennifer, Jason, Rosie, Nicole and Samantha; and her 3 cats: Tika, Zazu and Newt.  She was preceded in passing by her maternal grandparents: Daniel and Roberta Becerra; paternal grandparents: Raymond and Sophie Kornas; aunt, Regina Becerra.

The family has chosen private cremation.

Dana was a huge animal lover.  She was employed at Marsh McClellan.  Dana was her happiest spending time with her family, especially her brother-the two were inseparable.  Dana with be greatly missed by all who love her.
