Concepcion "Connie" Guerrero, age 93, of Gary, passed away peacefully Monday, July 16, 2018. Loving mother of Diane Franco, Lilia Guerrero, Maryellen (Felix) Sendejas, Rose Mary Guerrero, and her daughter in her heart, Linda Rodriguez. Beloved sister of Raul (late Ernestine) Alvarado and Robert (late Betty) Alvarado. Proud grandmother of 13. Dearest great-grandmother of 19. Fond aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Aniceto Alvarado and Natalia Alvarado nee Anaya; her brothers Tony (late Soledad) Alvarado and Uriel (late Esther) Alvarado; her sisters Juanita (late Ramon) Olivarez and Carol (late Frank) Oropeza. Concepcion was always a woman of faith who adored her family and friends. She retired after 17 years with Wildwood Manor Nursing Home in Gary. She was loved by many and will be missed by more. Friends are invited to celebrate Concepcion's life on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 3 PM until 7 PM at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 10 AM at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 7113 Columbia Ave., Hammond, IN with Rev, Richard "Rick" Orlinski, Pastor officiating.
