Cleo E. Pierson, age 89, US Army Veteran of WWII, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 24, 2012. Loving and devoted Husband for 55 years to the late Helen Pierson nee Nicoloff. Cherished Father of Ken (Jane) Pierson of Anderson, Tim (Gayle) Pierson of Griffith, and Patricia (Joe) Lewandowski of Munster. Brother of late Carter (late Lois) Pierson and Late Dorothy (late Nolan) Dennington. Grandfather of 9. Great-Grandfather of 17. Uncle of many Nieces and Nephews. Lifetime Friend of Val (MaryEllen) Mis. Cleo was with the 165th Anti-Aircraft Artillery during WWII. He was retired after 40 years with Sinclar. He was a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher for many years at the Hessville Baptist Church. Friends are invited to meet with the Family on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 10 AM until time of Service at 12 Noon at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME 6955 Southeastern Ave. Hammond. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. Funeral Service Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 12 Noon at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME with Brother LeRoy Floyd, officiating.
