Clarence E. "Bud" Eidam, age 84, of Munster, IN passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Munster Community Hospital surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean; 3 sons, Clarence "Bud" (Patty) Eidam, Jr. of Lansing, IL, Jim (Karen) Eidam of Munster, IN and Rudy (Jo-Ellen) Eidam of Decatur, IN; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 25, 2009 at 10 AM directly from St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8601 Harrison Ave., Munster, IN with Dr. Eric Stumpf officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 4-8 PM at LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN and Friday morning from 9 AM until time of services at the church. The family suggests that if you wish to honor Bud's memory, memorials may be given to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8601 Harrison Ave., Munster, IN 46321. Bud was a lifetime resident of the Calumet Region and had lived in Munster since 1960. He was a veteran of World War 2 and a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Munster, IN.
