Charles "Charlie" Vasquez, age 73, of Hammond, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014. He is survived by brothers Raul (Josephine) Vasquez of Hammond, IN, Ruben (Carmen) Vasquez of East Chicago, IN and Frank (Mary) Vasquez of Hammond, IN. Brother-in-law Lloyd Vines (late Sylvia) of Hammond, IN. Aunts: Esperanza (late Jack) Husk of Munster, IN. Mary (late Joe) Barba of Whittier, CA. Uncle: Manual (Rose) Garnica of Burnham, IL. Uncle, Great-Uncle, and Great-Great-Uncle to numerous Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by his Parents Charles and Esther Vasquez, Sister Sylvia Marie Vines. Grandmother Maria Garnica. Charles's family would like to especially thank Karen Lansdowne and Darla Phillips, two of the loving nurses from Blue Skies Hospice. Charles was loved by many and will be missed by more. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 10 AM at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN with Pastor Larry Chase officiating.
