Carolyn J. Lovin, born September 20, 1970, of East Chicago, Indiana passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021 at the age of 50. Carolyn was preceded in passing by her parents: Leonard and Mary Ann Lovin; and her son, Jeremy Lovin-Guerrero. She was a loving mother and grandmother who is survived by her two sons: Jacob (Jennifer) Lovin and David (Nicole) Lovin-Guerrero; grandson, Jacob Lovin; brother, Leonard Lovin.
She was an adoring mother, a sassy sister and a witty grandmother who had the biggest heart. She left behind beautiful memories that won't soon be forgotten. Though tears are being shed from the pain, laughter is what will lighten those who reminisce of her joy and love. She will be remembered by her extensive book collection and always having a book with her wherever she went.
Those who knew and loved Carolyn are welcome to join the family in celebrating her life and mourning her passing on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at LaHayne Funeral Home located at 6955 Southeastern Avenue Hammond, Indiana 46324. On Monday, July 12, 2021, there will be a viewing held at St. Michael the Archangel National Catholic Church 6629 West 133rd Avenue, Cedar Lake, Indiana 46303 from 9:30 AM until time of Mass at 10:30 AM with the Very Reverend John P. Kowalczyk, Jr, Pastor officiating. The burial will follow at St. Michael Polish National Cemetery 1639 - 169th Street. Hammond, Indiana 46324.
