Carol "Totesie" Pahl, age 74, of Hammond, IN, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.

Carol is survived by her children: Jeff (Donna) Bogert, Bremmen (Mary) Pahl, Deven (Amanda) Pahl, Nicole (David) Whorl; brother, Richard Hohalek; Nana to eight grandchildren: Carlee (Randy) Barajas, Damian Bogert, Waylon Bogert, Raina Cavanaugh, Jakob (Mikayla) Whorl, Justin Whorl, Jaydon Whorl and Jonah Whorl; Super Nana to great grandson Kingston Whorl; aunt, cousin and friend to many; cats: Bob and Vickie.  Carol was preceded in passing by her parents: Robert and Victoria Hohalek; and her brother, Bob (Kathleen) Hohalek.

A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 7:30 PM at LaHayne Funeral Home located at 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, IN 46324.  Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 7:30 at LaHayne Funeral Home.

Carol Lee lived the majority of her life in Hammond, Indiana, where she graduated from Hammond Tech High School.  After High School she began her career in Cosmetology which lasted for over 30 years.  She was the owner of Carol's Room in Hammond and also The Magic Touch in Moreno Valley, California.  Carol Lee has been drawing all of her life, she specialized in portraits of people and animals.  She was most proud of her earned titles of "Nana" and "Super Nana".  She loved to listen to good music, especially her favorite, Classic Rock.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the family.
