Bobby Fred Tiede, age 80, of Hammond, IN passed away Thursday, October 22, 2009. He is survived by 2 daughters, Cindy Tiede of Munster, IN and Kim Tiede of Hammond, IN; son-in-law, Dick Servi of Munster, IN; 5 grandchildren, Emily, Max, Frankie, Bella, and Dominick; 1 sister, Jan Willit of Rensselaer, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, and a brother, Jack Tiede. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 26, 2009 at 12 Noon EDT at Roseland Cemetery, Francesville, IN. Burial will follow the services. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 2-6 PM at LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Parents Project, Muscular Dystrophy Assn. Bobby was a resident of this area for 55 years, a US Navy veteran, and worked in the Metallurgy Dept. at LaSalle Steel Co. in Hammond, IN. He was a member of American Legion Hammond Victory Post # 168 who will conduct memorial services at 3 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
