IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Betty "Momma
Jo" J. Stempf
May 28, 1944 – May 1, 2015
Betty "Momma Jo" Stempf nee Holcomb, age 70, of Hammond, IN, passed away Friday, May 01, 2015.
Loving mother of Evelyn (William) Stocker, SR. Beloved sister of Martha Jane Holcomb, Jesse Rayburn (Regina) Holcomb, and the late Jimmy Hearl (Sandra) Holcomb. Proud grandma of Amber Rose (Howard) Bacon and William Joseph Stocker, JR. Dearest great-grandma of Theodore Joseph Stempf and Julia Rose Bacon. Fond aunt of Cynthia Crowe, Kevin Holcomb, Shannon Holcomb, Shawn Holcomb, Steve Holcomb, Amy Holcomb, Julie Vernango, and Adam Holcomb.
Betty "Momma Jo" enjoyed visits and was very social. She loved wrestling and would get spitting mad when teased it was "just acting". She also liked cooking, reality TV, and the survival shows. She loved all things family and all animals, especially her dog, Daisy. She was truly a loving soul and would tell you on a regular basis how much she loved you, but she would argue with a sign post. She was loved by many and will be missed by more.
Visitation and a service to celebrate Betty's life with her family and loved ones will take place on Tuesday, May 05, 2015 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM at LaHayne Funeral Home , 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN. For further information regarding services, please contact LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME at 219/ 845-3600.
