Betty C. Hlavacek nee Chen'ault, age 89, of Hammond, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Loving wife for 60 years of the late Joseph Hlavacek. Survived by her son Ramon Hlavacek. Proud grandmother of Sarah (fiancé Patrick Metzger) Hlavacek, Rebecca (fiancé Daniel Litwicki) Hlavacek; and her daughter-in-law Barbara Hlavacek. Fond aunt of Pete (Renee) Drasic and many other nieces and nephews. Her devoted friends Joy and Bobby Reba. Proceded in death by her sister Dolores, brother and sister-in-laws and many other friends and family. Betty enjoyed gardening, photography, and being a homemaker. She loved caring for and cooking and entertaining her family and friends.
