Betty I. Craig nee Buck, age 87, of Calumet City, Illinois, passed away Friday, August 19, 2017. Beloved wife of Robert H. Craig. Loving mother of Lyle Craig and Amy Craig. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her siblings Virginia (Stanley) Narug, Easter (Roy) Woods, Warren (Winifred) Buck, and Bernard (Betty) Buck. Betty was a graduate of Hammond High. She was a member and past President of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 330 Calumet City as well as past President of the American Legions 8th District Department of Illinois. Betty was loved by many and will be missed by more. Friends are invited to celebrate Betty's life with her family on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 10:00 AM until time of Service at 12:00 Noon with Reverend Mary van Wijk, Pastor officiating at LaHayne Funeral Home , 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, Indiana.
