Anna "Jane" Lewis nee Rich, age 79, of Hammond, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, March 13, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Walter Lewis. Loving mother of Garry (Karen) Lewis, Cathy (Roy) Steffan, the late Ernest "Gene" Lewis, and the late Marilyn Lewis. Devoted sister of Jimmie (Meredith) Henninger and the late Wilber Rich. Proud grandmother of Roy L. Steffan, JR. Dearest great-grandmother of Paris Steffan, Roy Steffan, III, and Ashley Steffan. Jane was the best mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of the Hammond Christian Reformed Church in Hammond. She loved meeting up with her Coffee Break friends. Jane loved traveling and her church. She will be missed by her furry friend Timmy. Jane was loved by many and will be missed by more. Friends are invited to meet with the Family on Monday, March 16, 2015 from 3 PM until 8 PM at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 11 AM at LaHAYNE FUNERAL HOME. A private interment will take place at New Salem Cemetery, Nortonville, KY.
