Albert A. Crabb. Age 91, of Hammond, IN passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Martha G.; 2 daughters, Mary Lou Crabb of Lansing, Il and Becky (Greg) Osborn of DeMotte, IN; 2 grandchildren, Scott Albert (Lauren) Osborn and Kelsey Osborn of DeMotte, IN; 1 great granddaughter due in July, 2010; many, many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 11 AM from LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN with Rev. Michael Matiscik officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, May 28, 2010 from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial may be given to American Heart Association, Memorial/Tribute Processing Center, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674. Albert was a resident of this area for over 85 years, attended Christian Fellowship Church of Hammond, IN, worked as a Locomotive Engineer at CSX Railroad, served in the U.S. Navy during World War 2, and was present at the invasion of Okinawa on Easter Sunday. He was a member of the LST Landing Group # 616 and the Men's Bible Class at Christian Fellowship Church.
