Adeline "Inie" Weilmuenster (nee Schuhrke) age 92, passed away on November 3, 2024. Adeline lived in Calumet City, IL and was born in Whiting, IN.  She was a homemaker.  Family and friends were important to her, and she cherished them.

Adeline had a great sense of humor, was kind and was a good soul.   She loved sports, especially the Bears, White Sox and Bulls.  Family members knew not to call her during a Bears game because the conversation would be extremely short.  When she was younger, she had a chance to play softball for a semi-professional South Bend team.  When possible, she volunteered for her church compiling braille books or working at their flea markets.  She enjoyed building and learning how to fix things. She could tell you the parts you needed or items you were looking to purchase, where to locate them and the price you should pay.   She loved all animals especially dogs.

Adeline is survived by her children: Ronald (Valerie) Weilmuenster, Sharon Weilmuenster, Dennis (Nancy) Weilmuenster and Tammy (Charles) Stevenson; Her granddaughter, whom she adored, Rachael Stevenson; Siblings:  Phyllis (late Milo) Marvel and Rose Marie (late Ernest) Diekman.

Proceeded in death by her husband, Clifford; parents, Adolph and Rose Schuhrke; siblings: Lucille (late Edward) Kitka, Verda Schuhrke, Evelyn (late Carl) Mikkelson, Herman (late Pauline) Schurhke, Henrietta (late Ernest) Sciacero, Carl (late Geri) Schuhrke, William Schuhrke and Audrey (John) Jucknowski.

A Funeral Service will take place on November 22, 2024, at La Hayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern, Hammond, IN at 11:30 AM with Pastor Patrick Gumz of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating.  Burial will follow to Concordia Cemetery, 6551 Calumet Avenue, Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service 11:30.
